The Project

The Kemerton Battery Energy Storage System (KBESS), is a pioneering project located approximately 2.5 kilometers North West of the Kemerton Terminal Station situated in the Harvey region in Western Australia. Spanning an area of around 20 hectares, this innovative BESS project will revolutionize the region’s energy landscape.

Designed to deliver a capacity of 660MW/2640MWh, the KBESS will integrate seamlessly into the SWIS network via existing transmission line infrastructure.

The KBESS represents a significant leap forward in sustainable energy solutions for Western Australia, promising to enhance grid stability and resilience while facilitating the transition towards a cleaner, more efficient power ecosystem.
